Be an Ordinary Angel: Create a Legacy of Hope and Love for Others
Susan E Foster is a mother, author, speaker, coach and advocate hoping to equip men and women to recognize the abusive Charming Impossibles in their lives. By sharing her personal story of survival and faith, in her first book, Charming Impossibles: How Ordinary Angels Help Free the Hopelessly stuck, Susan reveals how the web of confusion is spun around abuse, and works to inspire healthy change for men, women, and children to help them overcome and heal.
In her second book Inside His locked Box: The Marshall Racing Project 33 Story, Susan E Foster gives voice to her late son, John Marshall Foster who, at 21 years of age, committed suicide following a miraculous recovery from a harrowing motorcycle accident. It was not the accident that led him to end his life. It goes much deeper. Marshall was battling thoughts of suicide long before the crash. What followed piloted the launch of The Marshall Racing Project 33 (MRP33), a special event benefitting Mental Health Awareness created in Marshall’s memory by founder, Ever Gomez, one of Marshall’s Ordinary Angels.
Much of Marshall’s personal inspiring writing was found hidden inside his locked box secured with lock and key. Marshall’s written thoughts intertwined with the telling of his story, Inside His locked Box is a message that no matter how hopeless life feels, breakthrough is imminent and that the bigger the setback, the stronger will be our comeback. Through this inside look into Marshall’s troubled written struggles, his awaiting breakthrough is discovered. It was already available to him if only he had eyes to see. Marshall experienced perhaps his greatest sense of joy, accomplishment, and independence on the seat of his motorcycle, a black Kawasaki Ninja. It was so much more than a motorcycle. It was his dream realized. Therefore, the crash was, to him, the death of his dream.
Through revealing the backstory of the crash of his dream, we hope readers realize that “crashes” in life are not only required seasons of our life journey, but offer opportunities we must be “open” to in order to “see,” much less, receive. Susan hopes readers will discover the Ordinary Angels in their own lives, that there is always hope, and that breakthrough is imminent especially at our darkest hour.
In Inside His locked Box, readers learn how Ever played an important role in Marshall’s life and how he continues racing Marshall’s beautifully refurbished bike delivering the message of hope that when life seems most hopeless, we are positioned for a supernatural breakthrough. Life matters. Your life matters.
A graduate of The University of Texas School of Journalism, Susan writes compelling narratives, including first-hand accounts from Marshall’s siblings and Ordinary Angels. Each shares their own journey of navigating through their own life journey and pain of loss. Each account unveils how they pursue hope and healing. By spotlighting extraordinary deeds of ordinary people, Susan hopes to inspire readers to become an Ordinary Angel in another’s life. At those hopeless moments, we simply must help each other hold on. Be an Ordinary Angel: Create a Legacy of Hope and Love for Others. Influence your corner of the world for good.
